Founded in 1955, Wat Pho is a Thai traditional medical school is aimed to be the center of traditional medical education in various disciplines, namely, pharmacy, medicine, and Thai obstetrics. The school has developed its horizon of knowledge and raised its standard to become world-class. Moreover, the school extends its expertise by founding.

Wat Pho Massage School and Chetawan Health Care Center in order to disseminate knowledge, conduct training sessions, and offer Thai massage and medical services. It also provides Thai traditional foot and herbal compress massage courses for tourists.
